This is one of my current favourite pieces. I enjoy the beauty of monotype work as it offers so much spontaneity in my painting and drawing and the element of surprise that always comes from lifting the paper off the plate to reveal the final image. I love this one!

A monotype is a one of a kind, hand pulled print.

I created this piece by first rolling paint on to a perspex plate and subtracted the paint as I draw. I next layed a sheet of paper over the drawing and with a rolling press, I made this one time original print.
